Sixth month review of the Chamber activities:
1- January- Survey created by Dr Bob Hayes a Wallingford resident. Showed overall satisfaction with Chamber but members wanted more education
2- Retreat at Blue Star
a- Health and Dental Insurance for members talk to Stephen Frickenscher for more info.
b- Mindful News Chamber’s bi-weekly newsletter. Please send news worthy info to Victoria.
c- Chamber website more user friendly. Advertise for free on the Chamber website. Talk to Anita.
d- Membership Drive “Cheers to Wallingford” April 26th at Wine World Debbi Larson
e- Spring Clean April 19th with the Boys and Girls Club and Emergency Preparedness with Mary Heim
f- New Art Walk chair Tara Shuttleworth and the Wallingford Robot on the side of Bottle Works.
g- Ice Cream Social with WCSC was canceled due to scheduling conflict.
We now have a community calendar on our website to avoid this.
h- Neighborhood grants Greg Martin and Laura Pavlou
i- LUDC Debbi Larson and Stephen F. attend those meetings
j- Judy Ayers Event Chair. We need more people on this committee.
3- 15 new businesses have joined our Chamber since January. Our goal is 15 more by next January. There’s strength in numbers!
4- Butt cans to be delivered to businesses and tree pits are being maintained now.
5- Farmers Market Great success at Meridian Park. Rumor of “Picnics in the Park” on Weds? Cathy Tuttle?
6- 4th of July at Gas Works contact Colleen if you want to be involved.
7- July 9th 61st Annual Kiddies Parade. We need businesses to have booths. Contact Judy Ayers for more info.
8- July 19th Tri Chamber BBQ at University House- August luncheon is at Ivar’s Salmon House on the deck!
