Mayor McGinn to Hold Town Hall in Wallingford

Posted on 08 October 2012 by Webmaster

Saturday, Oct. 13th
As part of the Engage Seattle initiative, in order to ensure that as many people as possible who live, work, or play in Seattle are able to voice their concerns and offer their feedback directly to the mayor, we’re holding a series of town halls in every part of the city, and there’s one coming up on 10/13 in Wallingford:

Neighborhood Town Hall
Good Shepherd Center
4649 Sunnyside Ave N
Saturday, October 13th
11:00 am – 12:00 pm

The Mayor will be visiting some Wallingford businesses and community organizations from about 10-11AM. Then, the Neighborhood Town Hall begins at 11AM at the Good Shepherd Center. Come out to meet the Mayor and have your concerns addressed.

WUMP! Wallingford Urban Mural Project

Posted on 16 August 2012 by Webmaster

A committee has been formed in Wallingford called WUMP!

The Wallingford Urban Mural Project (aka WUMP!) is a vehicle for bringing artistic talent, local community organizations, and Wallingford neighbors together. Murals create awareness and an appreciation for visual arts, as well as a sense of pride and connection within and throughout the broader community. Through a series of Public Murals, WUMP! aims to enhance the environment and feed the cultural soul of the Wallingford neighborhood.

Sound cool? Want to help out?

  •     We are in need of a videographer to document this project.
  •     We are also looking for walls in Wallingford to put murals on.
  •     A website will be underway soon — anyone who wants to volunteer to help with that would be much appreciated!

Please contact Colleen Kurke at cllnkur@yahoo.com if you can assist!
