  • Uncle Shietz Plumbing (Nick Healy)
  • Walgreens (Toni Majerus)
Other topics discussed/announced included:
The Chamber may re-take the organizing of the Kiddies Parade and Wallingford Family Festival in order to help the Wallingford Neighborhood Association. The Chamber ran the parade for 50 years before the WNA took it over.
Colleen proposed pursuing more crosswalks on 45th as well as a slower speed limit. She’s also looking into getting more bike racks along 45th and Wallingford.
There’s a new Department of Neighborhoods representative: Jenny Fankl
Wallingford celebrated the first of many Greenways (bike lanes & routes) in Seattle last Saturday. This Greenway covers the area between I5 and Aurora Ave. It links Wallingford bike riders to Greenlake, Fremont, Greenwood and the U-District. Eventually all of Seattle will have Greenways!
New Chamber projects upcoming:

Urban Mural Project with local artist Kathy Liao; Colleen will be chairing this project to get more beautiful murals painted in our neighborhood.

Wallingford Farmer’s Market 2012 Season Begins Wednesday, May 30th! Volunteers needed for Community Table…

Posted on 18 May 2012 by Webmaster

The Wallingford Farmers Market, located in beautiful Meridian Park at the corner of Meridian Avenue N and N 50th Street, will celebrate it’s 2012 Opening Day on Wednesday, May 30th. Beginning at 3:30PM, come start the summer off in a healthy way by supporting locally grown organic and sustainably grown produce and baked goods.

In 2012, the Wallingford Farmer’s Market will be open open every Wednesday, 3:30-7 p.m., from May 30th until Sept. 26th.

Like last year, we’re putting together a COMMUNITY TABLE at the Farmer’s Market, highlighting all the great community organizations in Wallingford.

Please sign up to volunteer to staff the table! The more volunteers we have, the more fun it is for all of us!
