We had a lovely sunny (but not too hot) day yesterday for the June Chamber luncheon.
We welcomed 4 new members:

Other topics discussed/announced included:
The Chamber may re-take the organizing of the Kiddies Parade and Wallingford Family Festival in order to help the Wallingford Neighborhood Association. The Chamber ran the parade for 50 years before the WNA took it over.
Colleen proposed pursuing more crosswalks on 45th as well as a slower speed limit. She’s also looking into getting more bike racks along 45th and Wallingford.
There’s a new Department of Neighborhoods representative: Jenny Fankl
Wallingford celebrated the first of many Greenways (bike lanes & routes) in Seattle last Saturday. This Greenway covers the area between I5 and Aurora Ave. It links Wallingford bike riders to Greenlake, Fremont, Greenwood and the U-District. Eventually all of Seattle will have Greenways!
New Chamber projects upcoming:
Urban Mural Project with local artist Kathy Liao; Colleen will be chairing this project to get more beautiful murals painted in our neighborhood.
Aug 29th – Music & Picnic in Meridian Park, 5-7PM
