I was raised in Tacoma, where my parents established Pacific Northwest Shop in 1978. After graduating high school, I completed my undergraduate degree at Kalamazoo College in Michigan. I then moved to Paris, France where I spent the next 15 years. While living in France, I worked in the financial services sector and completed a Master’s in Business Administration.

Upon returning to the Seattle area in 2014, my intention had been to temporarily work in the business alongside my parents. I soon discovered this to be the best job I’d ever had. In 2017 we opened our second storefront, located in Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood. The following year, my husband and I acquired the business from my parents. We continue to operate out of our two storefronts, and have a warehouse facility where we conduct our online and corporate activities.
